It may be summer holidays for some, but there’s still so much to catch you up on from the Live Well Hub and beyond!

Live Well’s Birthday Celebrations

We’re excited to announce that we will be hosting a 24-hour podcast in the Live Well Hub to celebrate our charity’s 7th birthday. Ben and Heywood from Stuff Productions will be live streaming from 7th to 8th November, with many members of our community joining us for the event. If you’d like to take part in the podcast, please email us with your ideas.

Live Well with Healthy Habits Campaign

Our 24-hour podcast is the first of several upcoming events that will help to raise funds for a Live Well with Healthy Habits app! For years, we’ve helped our community to improve their health and wellbeing with wellness journals, workshops and masterclasses. Recent user feedback has highlighted the need for a digital version that helps users to build healthy habits, and so we’re asking for help to meet this unmet need of our community.

September sessions

We're taking registrations for two more Live Well with Healthy Habits scheduled for September, both funded by Northern Cancer Alliance and Point North Community Fund.

Living well and sleeping better

We've hosted Live Well with Healthy Habits workshops in North Tyneside and Northumberland.

In loving memory of Anna

It was with sadness and regret that we announced that Anna has passed away. A beloved member of our Bowel Cancer Support Group, Anna lit up every room she walked into with her smile, laughter and wicked sense of humour. We have been blown away by the amount of donations that have been made in Anna’s memory, while her friends at the Junior Lawyers Division have arranged a quiz night on 13th August at the Pattern Shop in Newcastle to raise funds for our charity.

Funders

We’ve been blessed to be supported by two Foundations over the past few weeks.

The Shears Foundation awarded us a grant of £6,000 to support our charity as we help our community to live well with cancer.

We’re delighted to have received a grant of £5,000 from The Pink Ribbon Foundation to help people living with secondary cancer.

Charity of the Year

We’re honoured to have been chosen as two organisation’s Charity of the Year.
