Live Well update
It’s only been a month and yet we’ve got so much to update you on from the Live Well Hub. From Howay the Bay to Live Well with Banter, our community has been living well this August.
Howay the Bay
Fresh from the first ever Howay the Bay 15km, we’d like to say a huge well done to Holly and the Live Well Runners for putting on such an amazing event. Dozens of people made their way from Blyth to the Live Well Hub to raise funds for our charity. For some runners, this was the last long run before they take on the Great North Run, and we’d like to thank everyone who is taking part in this year’s GNR – we’ll be watching closely to see all our Live Well t-shirts! A huge well done to all the runners!
Beach Pilates and Sea Dip
We’d like to say a big thank you to Beth and Amber for hosting a beach pilates and sea dip at Tynemouth Longsands yesterday. Together they've raised over £700 for our charity! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. It was great to see members of our community getting together to move and brave the North Sea. Well done to all who have attended.
Howay the Lads

It was our privilege to shake our buckets outside of St James’ Park before Newcastle's breathtaking match against Liverpool in front of a raucous Geordie crowd. We may have lost the match on the pitch, but all the lads and lasses showed their class by donating £779.40 to our cause.
Live Well with Banter
We’d like to say a massive thank you to Heywood from Heywood and Stuff Productions for making our new podcast possible. We’ve already filmed the first two episodes Live Well with Banter and can’t wait to film the rest of the series. Stay tuned across our social media to see our Founder and CEO in the hot seat.

Live Well with
Healthy Habits
We’re thrilled to announce that our latest wellness journals are being printed ready for our upcoming Live Well with Healthy Habits campaign. Our 1-day journal introduces users to the Three Pillars of Wellness, while The Prehab Edition helps patients to prepare for treatment.
Live Well with MacMillan

Partnership work is so important for helping patients to live well with cancer, and so we are so excited to be collaborating with Northumbria NHS MacMillan Information and Support Service on a weekly Live Well with Cancer Drop In. Come to the Live Well Hub every Wednesday from 10-2 to meet the team and get support and advice on issues you are facing.
VODA NS800 Walk booklet
We are so excited to announce that we have been awarded a £1,000 project grant from National Lottery Heritage Fund to produce Step Through Shields as part of NS800. We will be producing a printed and downloadable walking guide that will take people on an interactive and fun walk around North Shields.
Thank you, Hadrian Trust!
We cannot thank Hadrian Trust enough for their grant of £500 to support our weekly art classes. Our creative sessions are amongst the most popular at the Live Well Hub, and we are very grateful to be able to continue to run sessions for our community.
Creative Drop-in

We are looking for budding writers to create pieces for our Live Well with Stories anthology, which was generously funded by Catherine Cookson Charitable Trust. If you have a story to tell, come see us at our Creative Drop-in, or email transformation@livewellwithcancer.co.uk.
Join us from 11-2pm every Tuesday for our
weekly Creative Drop-in at the Live Well Hub.
