Live Well Update
So much to catch up on, but no better place to start than Maureen’s shoulder. It will still be a little while until she is back to full power, but we are delighted to have her back doing what she does best in the Live Well Hub, helping our community to live well with cancer. Maureen would like to thank everyone for all their kind words and well wishes. During her recovery, she was delighted to receive the Northern Cancer Alliance Award for Going the Extra Mile, a recognition she richly deserves for all the work she has done for our charity. We’d like to thank everyone at Northern Cancer Alliance for their fantastic choice and all their support over the years.
Live Well's 6th Birthday

We’re just days away from Live Well with Cancer’s 6th birthday and we’d like you to join us in celebrating all we have created as a community on 11th November. To honour the occasion, we are raffling a very special A3 framed poster of Sam Fender, signed by none other than the local lad to help raise much needed funds for our charity.
The draw will take place on 15th November.

Calling all geordies – this festive season, show your black-and-white pride with our exclusive Toon-themed Christmas card, starring none other than local legends Bailey and Bobby! It's the perfect way to celebrate the festive season - the geordie way. Howay the lads and lasses!
Live Well this Christmas
There’s so much to look forward to this year. We’d love to see you at our annual Christmas Fayre on 29th November at Linskill Centre and our Christmas Coffee Morning at the Live Well Hub on 20th December. Our annual Christmas Bauble Appeal looks to be the biggest yet, especially with our Michael Bauble Festive Fundraiser packs working their way around the northeast and beyond.
What else is new on our shop?
You can support our charity by buying our northeast inspired products.
Our fabulous funders
We are incredibly grateful to all our funders and supporters for making our work possible. This month, we’d like to shine a lot on three organisations at the heart of our past, present and future.
Greggs Foundation | Ballinger Charitable Trust | Barbour Foundation |
We are eternally grateful to Greggs Foundation for awarding us £59,400 over three years to cover our core costs. Over the past two years, it has empowered us to establish the Live Well Hub and our regular schedule of individual and group support.
![]() | We’d like to say a huge thank you to Ballinger Charitable Trust for awarding us £30,000 over the next 2 years to support our growing core costs. It is our privilege to receive the grant, and our pleasure to put it to good use helping people to live well with cancer. ![]() | We are once again thrilled to announce that the wonderful Barbour Foundation has agreed to support our work. Their latest grant of £3,000 will be used to offer a variety of workshops and support groups for people impacted by a cancer diagnosis.
